Surface Mapping/Distortion

Distorted sole plates can make alignment difficult. Distorted horizontal joints, valve flanges, or cooler heads tend to leak.

Profiling critical surfaces can give you a "heads up" on potential problems. Mechtell can measure surface profiles and provide graphical or tabular data showing deviations from nominal. Both sides of mating surfaces can be measured and their interface evaluated.
